This web page is the home page for all chapters in this section which is all about Web Standards. Standards is a little bit of a loose term here, though. The Internet is still an evolving medium and so many parties are involved in the development that first we need standards to keep this thing afloat but second so many things emerge that it will take quite some time until all parties can agree on a standard. So, some standards are not real standards but what we usually call de facto standard.
